The decision to choose a job in another country has a major impact, both professional and private. People make this choice for completely different reasons. A young talent who is not yet bound often wants to take the opportunity to gain experience abroad. For some others, the financial reasons are decisive, while there are also professionals who emigrate because the specific development opportunities they are looking for are not available in their own country. Before making the decision, it is good to consider why you want to make this step. For what period do you want to go abroad, how does this contribute to your career, what is your family situation like and what financial consequences does the departure entail? How do the expat and his or her family see their new life? How will their lifestyle change and do they see themselves becoming part of the local society?
Introducing expats into the organization also brings new questions for the employer. For example, how to deal with language and cultural differences, involvement in housing and also the social aspects that the newcomers experience, especially in the first months.
